When you copy and paste the data from Excel to PowerPoint, it should create a table for you. You can then edit the properties of the table and add a border. Since both programs are made by Microsoft and are part of the same Office suite, you should have the same border options in both programs.

Hi, I feel there is a much better way to do this, by inserting your excel file as an object into powerpoint.
I currently have MS 2000, so I hope the steps will be similar on your version.

In your powerpoint presentation sheet, click on Insert>Object>Create from file>Browse>select your file from this point>OK.

You should now see your file on the powerpoint slide. If you need to make it larger, click on it 1 time to highlight it then expand by dragging on 1 of the corner boxes. You can also double-click on it, as it will open as an excel sheet, and you will be able to make any needed changes right there within your powerpoint presentation.

Hope this helped!
