Experiences with Microsoft Office 2007 vs. 2010?

I get Office 2007 enterprise for free from my university.

They are now offering Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus for $13. yes, $13.

I was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice about how these 2 compare as far as performance and usability. I use mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.

Yes, I know about OpenOffice and I already have it. I want to know about 2007 vs. 2010.

For $13 I wouldn't hesitate to upgrade. If you've got the opportunity to stay up-to-date with the latest software for that low of a price, I'd say definitely go for it. If you want to see a comparison of the two, Wikipedia usually has a lot of good, extensive information for that kind of thing.

I'd get it. Just a couple of things to note: Microsoft did away with the "close print preview" button for 2010. I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to close print preview before I finally gave up and got on the internet, and found out you have to click on one of the other tabs to get back to the page. Also, if you use the recent documents feature often, you'll be happy to know it now takes an extra click to get to them....thanks ALOT Microsoft :/

Basically, besides a configurable ribbon, both products are the same with two exceptions: Outlook 2010 is much improved over 2007 when organizing your Inbox. Mail is automatically grouped and can be handled that way.

OneNote has a few improvements over the previous version. It now has more features and is more user friendly.

For $13, it's worth it to upgrade. (I got it for $9.95 through my job.)
