Does anyone else think the names "PowerPoint" and "Excel" could be switched around and still make sense?


Now, I might sound crazy, but hear me out on this... It seems like in Excel, you create spreadsheets of data which are powerful and to the point. In PowerPoint, you create slideshows that showcase how much you excel at creative composition. I was just thinking about the names of these programs today and it got me wondering how appropriate their names are. Thoughts?

Nick124 		No, you don't sound crazy at all. I often think about off-the-wall things like this when my mind wanders and/or when I'm extremely bored. Now, as for Word, I think that name pretty much sums it up :) It's nice to see more philosophical posts like this rather than purely technical ones.
