PoweRPoint 2010 - Play audio on one slide without affecting other animations

I have a slide with several animations of pictures. I also have audio on this slide, which I would like to begin as soon as the slide starts, and continue until all the animations are finished, but I do not want the audio on the next slide. I have selected "Effect Options" - "Stop playing after 1 slide". Works perfectly - audio comes in with the slide, and plays through all the picture animations. However, if I save the presentation, when I re-open it, the "Effect Options" has reverted back to "After current slide". Then the first picture comes in with the sound, but none of the other animations follow. I just want it to save and then re-open with "Stop playing after 1 slide". Has anybody else had this problem, and/or does anybody have a solution? Thanks.

Yeah, my best guess would be that you are using a computer which does not allow you to save settings in programs. If it is a personal computer, make sure you have administrative rights and check the settings in PowerPoint to see if there are any restrictions placed.

That works fine for me. Are you using a public computer? It could be that the settings are not changeable. If you found the solution, can you post it? I apologize for the delay in responding but if you still have not found the answer let me know and I will dig deeper. Thanks

Thank you for your answer. No - haven't found a proper solution yet - could be I'm on a network computer, but I really don't know why that would make a difference. I did "fool" the programme, though. I inserted the audio on the previous slide, to start playing at the very end, "on click", so it actually starts playing when I clock for the next slide.. I then selected "stop playing after 2 slides", and, for some reason, I ended up with exactly what I wanted. There's always a way!!!
