Are there other colors for laser pointers?


I mean other than red, obviously. You see, my dad is a teacher and he always uses the same old red laser pointer during his classes. I was thinking of getting him a different colored one, maybe green or blue. I just always thought it was odd how all the laser pointers you see are red.

susanamoor 		certainly there are different kind of lasers accept red one. You might not that familiar with laser pointer, and there are green, blue, violet, yellow color lasers to choose. A low power 5mW laser might be enough for simple presentation in teaching. A high power one is harmful to human eyes and not suitable. You can just take it into consideration. There are a lot of high quality lasers at cheap price here:

Nick124 		Yes, there are other colors for laser pointers, but they are MUCH more powerful than the traditional red ones. The reason you never see other colors is because they could easily damage someone's eyes if the user accidentally pointed it at their face. Even red ones are moderately dangerous.
