For Powerpoint 2007, how do I hide some text and reveal the rest when I want to?


I think this has to do with animations but I am not sure, how do I show some text on my slide and hide the rest when I am ready. Either with a click of a button or after some time.

What you need is custom animations

Make sure you click on the animations tab in powerpoint

Then you select your text --> move your mouse to the top of the animations palette --> Click Add Effect --> Then Entrance --> Pick one of the effects listed or to view them all go into "More Effects" to see all of them.

To show one line at a time you may only need to use the default setting. If not, you can expand the list and change the setting for each bullet you have. For example, you can set the bullets to show on Mouse Click or "with previous" or "After previous". You can also change the speed of how you want it to show. Double clicking on something in the list will give more options as well. You just need to play around until you get what you want.
