Microsoft PowerPoint 2007/2010 free trial


I want a free trial of Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 or 2010, but preferable 2007. I want it for about 60 days. Does anyone have a link to a free offer trial? Also, is Microsoft 2010 compatible with Windows XP? If I use PowerPoint 2010 to do my work can I use the 2007 version to view or edit it? Thanks

Only Microsoft Office 2010 is available for a free trial. It is compatible with Windows XP, so you should be fine there.

ONLY GOOD FOR 60 DAYS

You can also try Open Office as an alternative and that is free and compatible with PowerPoint. Here is the link:

Even though OpenOffice is compatible with PowerPoint you must remember to choose the Microsoft file type (ppt, doc etc) when you do a "SAVE AS".


Openoffice suite includes
• Writer which is equivalent to Word
• Calc similar to Excel
• Draw which is equivalent to Visio
• Impress which is equivalent to powerpoint
• Base which is equivalent to Access

So, basically you are getting all the same/similar features of the Microsoft expensive products for free with Open Office

agraham 		You also need the PowerTools add-in, that is not a default part of the free trial offer, so go here to get the PowerTools plugin.

nhamilton1 		The trial offer of Microsoft office Enterprise 2007 edition might be finished, but you can certainly get a 60 day trial of 2010 using the link below. As to the compatibility between the two, it would make sense that Microsoft would want to ensure compatibility. They have done so with other versions, so I am assuming yes to this question.
