How many different versions of PowerPoint have there been?


All I hear talk about are the three most recent ones (2003, 2007, and 2010). Also, is there any way to purchase the older software for cheap? I know it won't have any of the newer interfaces, animations and transitions, but I just need a simple version that does the basics.

AriB12 		I just checked out the Wikipedia page for Microsoft PowerPoint and found that there have been 10 versions: 1990, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2007, and 2010. To be honest though, if you want to download a 2001 or earlier version, you should probably just get OpenOffice for free, which is probably better than those older versions at this point.
